Before Website-79, our founders spent years working for other jewelers in New York. They set stones, sized rings and repaired clasps that should have lasted far longer than they did.
They kept seeing the same problem. Good diamonds went into thin, hollow settings, and each piece passed through several sets of hands, picking up a markup at every stop, before it reached the person wearing it.
So they rented a small bench space and started making jewelry their own way: solid metal, a grading report for every diamond, and a price based on what actually goes into the piece. The studio has grown since then, but it’s still small, and we still work that way.
